Darwin is known as Australia’s gateway to South East Asia, and our options for outreach there are varied and diverse. Mission Adventures teams can select and outreach destination from a number of host nations such as central or northern Thailand where the people are smiling and hospitable, and their appreciation immense as they share their wonderful culture with us.

Another option is to travel to the Philippines, visiting one or two of the 7000 islands. This relaxed culture of friendly people will welcome your teams presence, and your participation and involvement with our long-term workers will assist the local community while providing an experience you will always remember.

WEST TIMOR is a location in Indonesia quite close to Darwin where teams have been making and impact in the lives of children and young people. Working alongside established church and ministry leaders and supporting their vision gives a unique opportunity to experience a new culture while making a valuable contribution.

Opportunities in each of these locations include working across various ministries and providing practical help while sharing the love of Jesus. From involvement in children’s ministry, sports ministry, visiting schools and churches to practical ‘hand’s on’ assistance, you and your group will be touched and changed forever as you make new friends and also make a real difference in the lives of those you meet.

Destination: NT Aboriginal Communities

Darwin is the capital city of the Northern territory and situated right at the ‘top end” of Australia. Mission Adventures programs desire to partner alongside various Aboriginal Christian leaders and their communities across this northern part of Australia.

As we have this opportunity to spend time and learn more about culture and this rich heritage we make relationships that are mutually enriching and enduring.

Contrasts in health and lifestyle are considerable in comparison to less remote regions of Australia, and these communities are often faced with a variety of challenges. This is a unique opportunity for those wanting “hands-on” involvement in a short-term missions outreach.
