Dancing in September - YWAM Darwin's September Update!!!!

10 students, 1 teacher, 2 teacher’s aides, 1 chaplain and 2 YWAM staff headed off to Thailand last month for a missions trip. After lots of preparation and planning, we headed off to see what we could see! We stayed in Bangkok for 2 days for orientation and an introduction to Thai culture, then left on… Continue

Mission Adventures and the Darwin Tour

Ah, what to say about Mission Adventures??? It was pure awesomeness.

The last Mission Adventures team left last week, so it’s a bittersweet time for all of us here. On one side, Mission Adventures is ending (for now) but on the other side, the Darwin Tour has just started, so we’re looking forward to seeing God move with that!

Architect in town

G'day folks,

Exciting times here at the moment as we welcome a great bloke and fantastic architect, Geoff Ferriss-Smith.

We've had a great day showing him around Darwin and dreaming about the possibilities. I love his passion for architecture that adapts to the environment, and look forward to another couple of days with him.

YWAM Darwin, ABC News and Arafura!

Hey all! Here's a little update on what's happening with YWAM Darwin in the next few weeks!

It's that time again, two years on from the last Arafura Games, and we're back helping out the Games co-ordinators! The Arafura Games are like a mini-Olympics, with 49 countries taking part and around 200 athletes. There are not just one, but TWO outreach teams staying at YWAM Darwin at the moment, to help out with Arafura Games. There's one AWESOME team from the January 09 Townsville DTS here, and one f… Continue
